
Jarmila Svoboda (goes by Jaja pronounced “ya-ya”) is a certified Thai Yoga Practitioner and a member of
Internation Thai Therapy Association (ITTA) and Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP)
organization. She studied at School of Holistic Massage and Reflexology in Downers Grove and recently became a
Licensed Massage Therapist.
Jaja was born in the Czech Republic. She has three older sisters. Her parents encouraged love for arts in all of
them. She has been playing violin and learning basic of ballet and modern dance since she was 6 years old. She
was also taking drawing lessons and entering violin competetions.
She was interested in massage since she was 16.
She decided to pursue a carrier of an architect. She got a Bachelors Degree of
Architecture at University of Technology in Brno, Czech Republic. During her
studies, she represented the University in tennis. Her interest in massage got
triggered again when she was helping fellow tennis players with their muscle
issues, giving them massages.
Her interest in massage got fulfilled when she came to the U. S. in 2004.
She completed Thai Massage studies including Soma Veda (Fundamentals of Thai
Massage), Ayurvedic Thai Massage (The Southern Method), Nuad Boran (The
Northern Style), Hands Free Thai Massage and Clinical Thai Bodywork 1 at
Thai Bodywork School.
She is teaching Thai Massage at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard and School of Holistic Massage
and Reflexology in Downers Grove.
Additionally, she is trained at John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR) - MFR I, II, Unwinding,
Rebounding, Cervical/Thoracic, Fascial/Pelvis and Equine MFR.

Her unique style, knowledge and experience have helped many people with different flexibility, restriction and
pain issues. She strongly focuses on the therapeutic aspect of massage as well as the relaxing and soothing.
"My goal is to help my clients become pain-free, let them participate in their healing process by giving them
tools to help themselves when in pain."
Marilyn Shupe also studied Soma Veda, Ayurvedic Thai Massage, Nuad Boran and Clinical
Thai Bodywork 1 at Thai Bodywork School and John F. Barnes Myofascial Release. She is
and ITTA and ABMP member. She also became Licenced Massage Therapist.
One of the Sky Thai Massage specialities is providing a couple massage with Jaja's dear friend and business partner
Marilyn Shupe from Mindful Thai Massage.
