John F Barnes Myofascial Release is a very effective hands-on technique focused on releasing fascia restrictions all
over the body. The practitioner provides sustained pressure on the restricted areas in order to eliminate pain and
regain motion.

Fascia is a structure that connects each cell in the body without interruption. It interlaces muscles, bones, organs,
veins and nerves. This tissue therefore connects each part of the body with every other part.

Fascia also participates in the support of our body. Imagine bones as tent poles and fascia as guide wires. The
constant pull of the fascia provides stability of our postures and movements.
In the healthy state, fascia is relaxed and stretchy, without restriction.
However different kinds of trauma such as falls, whiplash, surgery, even habitual
poor posture, or scarring and inflammation cause tightness in the fascia. This
tightness can exert immense tension leading to restriction or pain.

Myofascial Release relieves this tension and possible pressure on the organs
and muscles. By working with fascia we address the source of  imbalance in the
body.
