Bodyworker uses hand, feet, elbow, forearm and finger pressure, rocking motion, stretching and body
positioning to treat specific areas of the body. By moving the client into simple poses, areas of the body that
are normally hard to reach, get open.
Thai Massage is an yoga-based bodywork technique originated in India, over 2500 years ago.
It’s founder, a famous Indian doctor Shivago Komalaboat, was known to be a contemporary of Buddha and was
a physician of the king. Traditionally Thai Massage starts with a prayer asking doctor Shivago for healing energy.
The duration varies and depends on client’s needs:
30 minutes (follow ups only) $40
60 minutes $75
90 minutes (recommended) $105
120 minutes $150
After the session everybody wishes the massage lasted forever...
Throughout its history, Thai Massage was influenced by yoga, Ayurvedic medicine, as
well as Chinese medicine.
Thai Medicine, which Thai Massage is a part of, was preserved by Buddhist monks. One
can also find folk elements in Thai Massage. Because the women were not allowed to
the temples to get treatment from monks, family members learned how to treat each
other.
Today Thai Massage is still taught and practiced in Buddhist temples and massage
schools throughout the Thailand.
It has also became very popular in the western countries for it’s philosophy, benefits
and deeply relaxing effect.

Typical session starts with the client laying on the back, then a gentle compression
and stretching is used to warm up and open the body, beginning with the legs.
Treatment continues throughout the body with focus on the problematic areas. The
pressure is always adjusted to client’s comfort.
Client stays fully clothed (comfortable cotton pants or sweatpants and a T-shirt
recommended). There is no use of oils. Traditionally, the massage is performed on
futon mat. If client's condition doesn't allow to lie down on the mat, massage can be
performed on the massage table.
